Tendering Engineer (Mechanical)

We are currently seeking a Tendering Engineer (Mechanical) to join our office in Cairo. As a Tendering Engineer, you will be responsible for Quantity Surveying all B.O.Q items, preparing cost estimates in the early design stage,


Preference will be given to a qualified candidate who can demonstrate experience in the following:

  • Quantity Surveys of all mechanical works using REVIT and CAD.

  • Prepare and revise quantity take-off sheets for all project components.

  • Prepare break-down sheets for each BOQ item.

  • Prepare project specifications in CSI Master Format.

  • Ensure that a project budget and fair market cost estimate are established. 

  • Prepare tender technical and financial evaluation reports. 

  • Attends to bidding negotiations regarding spec and priced B.O.Q and replies to all clarifications required in the tender process.

  • Participate in updating the Vendors’ List by searching the market for the available suppliers and vendors.

  • Keeping track of all market material prices and updates.

  • Represent the department and participate in summits related to specification/ materials development.

  • Assists the designers in selecting materials and equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years of experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, CAD and REVIT is a must.

  • Deep knowledge of the CSI and Principle of measurements (POMI).

  • Knowledge of new products and materials application methods.

  • Good command of the English Language.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Consultant experience for a minimum of 2 years.

  • Experience in finance or construction estimates, as well as courses in price analysis, are advantages.


Work Environment:

Working hours: 8:00 to17:00
